Rates & policies

BASE rateS:

Monday—Thursday: $450/hour*
Friday, Saturday & Sunday: $500/hour*

Exclusions:

• Rates above apply to open-bow boats. Call to discuss larger/yacht options.

• Memorial Day weekend, Independence Day (4th of July) & the surrounding dates, Alexandria Fireworks & Labor Day weekend rates may be higher.

• Rates exclude optional gratuity, taxes (when departing from Maryland only) and any docking fees imposed by marinas (see below).

The rate is for our open boats for up to 6 passengers — the maximum allowed by the USCG. Please call if you need multiple boats to accommodate more passengers.

Cruise duration is entirely up to you, however the minimum charge is 1.5 hours.* Cruises can be reserved starting at 9:00 am. (Note that some departure locations have a minimum duration of greater than 90 minutes.)

Rates include your time on the private vessel, a captain licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard (who also serves as your private tour guide), fuel, soft drinks, bottled water and ice. (You are welcome to bring food and drinks aboard. See our FAQs for more info.)

Again: Rates are higher around special events, such as the Independence Day fireworks & Alexandria’s Birthday fireworks, etc. Rates are also higher for larger vessels. Please call for more information.

Life jackets are provided. Please let us know of any children under the age of 13 as they must wear life jackets at all times. No exceptions to this rule—this is a USCG requirement. Life jackets for dogs are available—please let us know in advance, as we don’t store them on the boats.

Tax rates:

• If cruise embarks from:

  • Washington DC or Virginia: 0% tax

  • Maryland: 10% tax

DockING fees:

Some locations charge us a docking fee. These fees will be added to your total, at cost:

Washington DC:

• The DC Wharf: (Embark DC’s home port): $0

• Washington Harbour / Georgetown Waterfront: $0

• The Yards Marina: $0

Virginia:

• Alexandria City Marina: $120 one way or round trip

• Mount Vernon Wharf: $50 one way, $100 round trip

Maryland:

• National Harbor: $100 one way, $200 round trip

refund Policy:

Should you have to cancel a reservation for any reason, the following refund policy applies:

• More than 14 days from reservation date: 100% refund

• 14 days to 8 days from reservation date: 50% refund

• 7 days or less from reservation date: No refund
